I finally got off my lazy butt and ordered some good professional web hosting. Frac.dk was getting little old to say the least, plus I wanted to have my own domain, which as you can see is troelsjust.dk 😀
I also took the opportunity to upgrade my blog from WordPress 2.0.2 to 2.0.4, which fixes a bunch of security vulnerabilities, and cleans up some code. It also meant that I had to redo some modifications that I made to the header, footer and sidebar of WordPress theme that I use (Almost-Sprig by Becca Wei, mad props to you dudette! 😀 ).
Finally I can put up articles as OpenDocument files, and do all kinds of wonderful stuff.
I really look forward to being able to use all these new abilities that I have to express my opinions, and share with you some ideas that I have.
I havn’t posted anything on my blog for quite a while, and the reason is that I have been busy at a new school, yes yet again I have switched schools, why? Well the two previous places I was at, I really did not feel at home, however where I am now, it’s wonderful. Most of the teacher are very nice and I have already learned quite a bit of new stuff, plus I have met some people that I have become really good friends with! 😀
This week I have holiday of fall, which is great, and last Thursday I finished a project in English at school. I decided to write about something, which I call Alternative Kinds of Freedom, and then present for the rest of the class. I though it went pretty well 😉 😛
Anyway, I decided to write a long article so that I had some material that I could present, and once I got that done, it needed to be scaled back a little for it to fit a presentation. Another reason to write a long article is because I wanted to release the article under Creative Commons. So I used school hours to write some new content to add to the world of Creative Commons and Free Culture, which is a movement I am proud to contribute to in any way I can. I just need to finish some spell checking and polishing of it, and then you will be able to find it right on this blog! 😛
And to a few of my new friends at school, As-SalÄmu `Alaykum.
